About Us

What is Thammasat University Model United Nations

Thammasat University Model United Nations (TUMUN) was founded in 2011 by a group of Thammasat University students who have an interest in the work of the United Nations. The objective of our organization is to empower youth leadership by sending out youth delegates to participate in “Model United Nations” conferences held around the globe. Since our establishment, we have sent youth delegates from Thammasat University to several Model United Nations conferences such as Harvard National Model United Nations, World Model United Nations, Cambridge University International Model United Nations, and so forth. By participating, our delegates would be engaging in public discussions and debates, as well as mutually problem-solving. Participants would have a chance to develop critical thinking, collaboration leadership, and cultural exchange. TUMUN sees Model United Nations as a good way to empower Thai youths to develop their potential to cope with global challenges.

Thammasat University Model United Nations (TUMUN) has been organizing Model United Nations conferences for over 10 years. This year, we are elevating our standards by introducing the Thailand National MUN, a national-level Model United Nations Conference that brings together MUN participants aged 15-25 from across the country. TUMUN envisions expanding the understanding and opportunities for youth in Thailand through a nationwide conference that fosters a vibrant exchange of knowledge and creativity. Thailand National MUN serves as a central platform for all MUN enthusiasts and young people across Thailand to share ideas and voice their opinions on global issues. Additionally, it provides a space where youth can actively engage in discussions about sustainable development, empowering them to contribute meaningfully to a better future.
