A LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT

Dear Participants,

First and foremost, I, Bhrant Piyakunawat, would like to extend my warmest welcome to each of you joining the Thailand National Model United Nations Conference. It is both an honor and a privilege to serve as this year’s Secretary-General, representing the dedicated efforts of our entire secretariat team.

Since 2014, the Thammasat University Model United Nations (TUMUN) has hosted this conference annually, with each year adding new value and depth to the Model UN experience. In 2025, we are proud to elevate the event to even greater heights, marking a significant milestone for our club and our mission. Our goal remains clear: to inspire and foster a deeper engagement with Model UN across Thailand and Southeast Asia. By participating in this conference, young leaders will have the opportunity to explore pressing global challenges—ranging from domestic issues to transnational concerns and international cooperation. Through this experience, delegates and observers alike will hone their skills, deepen their understanding, and emerge more empowered to contribute meaningfully to the world.

The TUMUN team has been tirelessly preparing an event that embodies these aspirations, providing a platform for robust debates and meaningful discussions. Here, you will have the chance to expand your skills, think creatively, and remain grounded in the complex realities of today’s global landscape. This conference is designed to encourage you to voice innovative perspectives on large-scale issues, gaining invaluable experience in a realistic Model UN setting.

The Secretariat

Our Secretariat team plays a crucial role in organising and coordinating the conference. Their responsibilities range from managing staff members, collaborating with NGOs, governmental bodies, as well as other MUNS, to facilitate hundreds of participants attending the event. It is through their dedication and efficient conducts that TUMUN and THNMUN run smoothly, ensuring they uphold the highest standards, and remain the premier Model United Nations conferences in Thailand.

Pichamon Rattanasevee

Caisse is a senior in British and American Studies, focusing on politics, government, economics, and the arts. An active member of the Model United Nations (MUN) community for four years, she served in the Delegate Relations Department before becoming Vice President of TUMUN in 2024. She has participated in TUMUN Conferences in 2022 and 2023, finding MUN invaluable for developing leadership, creative problem-solving, teamwork, and confidence.

Through MUN, Caisse has built meaningful connections, gained lifelong friendships, and broadened her understanding of global issues. She appreciates the platform for fostering academic discussions that lead to impactful resolutions.

Beyond MUN, Caisse served as Vice President of the Student Representatives team during her freshman year and contributed to the Liberal Arts Student Council. She also experienced international study as an exchange student at Ludwig-Maximilian University of Munich in Germany. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, discovering great restaurants, and meeting new people.

Kittipoj Taertulakarn

Treasurer for Thammasat University Model United Nations

Poj is a senior undergraduate student majoring in Economics at Thammasat University. Over the past three years, he has been actively involved in Model United Nations, gaining extensive experience in diplomacy, leadership, and teamwork. Poj began his role in TUMUN in 2022 as a member of the Finance Department and later advanced to become the Treasurer. He was also a delegate in the Economic and Financial Affairs Council at WorldMUN.

Beyond MUN, Poj is passionate about business management and international trade. He has participated in numerous business case competitions, both locally and globally, showcasing his analytical skills and strategic thinking.

In addition to his academic and extracurricular activities, Poj enjoys traveling to discover new cultures, watching movies, and embracing opportunities for personal growth.

Arpitchanand Tipayanond

Operations for Thammasat University Model United Nations

Tam is a senior undergraduate student studying Governance in Politics and International Relations. Tam has been involved in Model United Nations for 6 years and dedicates her efforts to the club and conference through her passionate approach and experiences. Tam has been a delegate to both HNMUN and Harvard WorldMUN, as well as serving as chair for both TUMUN and AYIMUN. Aside from being the USG for Club Activities and overseeing the training of staff members and resident delegates, as Operations, she ensures smooth club conducts and facilitates collaboration between departments and other organisations. Tam also founded the MUN club at her high school. Model United Nations plays an important role in her life—from honing her invaluable skill sets and knowledge, to creating unforgettable memories and lifelong friends.

Outside of Model United Nations, Tam is an avid reader and model who loves singing, 70s music, and is classically trained in Thai dancing. Having been to more than 30 countries, she holds a great appreciation for different cultures and the arts, namely the impressionist movement, literature, and historical fashion.
